TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - DS3800HAIA

DS3800HAIA is an Analog Conversion Board developed by General Electric under Mark IV series. The board is built to be installed quickly in the drive. On one end, the board has a modular connector, while on the other, it has retention levers. Between the retention levers on the GE Analog Conversion Board, there are two 34-pin connectors.

  • There are 8 jumpers and 2 trimmer resistors on the board. There is one socket on the board for an EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable read-only memory) module.
  • The analog/digital converter is a board-mounted component. It transforms analog signals into digital signals. Throughout the trip, signal processing is done in digital format. There are numerous test points on the board. Each test point has its own unique ID. ES, DV, CLK, DB, AN, FOG, and ACON are some of the IDs. A servicer can use the test points to check the board's numerous circuits.
  • The servicer must understand the purpose of the board as well as the components that make it up. The servicer must be aware of the risks associated with removing and replacing a board in a high-voltage drive. The testing device must be thoroughly calibrated for the testing environment and in good operating order. Test on a clean, dry surface free of debris, dust, and clutter. This is done to protect the board's surface from contaminants.
  • The trimmer resistors are placed on the board so that they can be modified while it is in use. The resistance produced by the component can be adjusted by the installation with a screwdriver.
