TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - DS3800HITA

DS3800HITA is an I/O control card developed by GE. It is a part of Mark IV control system

Features

  • A through J are labeled along the top edge of the card, with marks between each letter for alignment.
  • One AMP connector, marked 218A4553-1 AMP 533002-1 8442, occupies the board's left edge.
  • The board's top right edge has nine LEDs. Eight are labeled 0-7 in red, and one is labeled IMOK in amber.
  • The bottom right edge of the board has fifteen test points. 1-7, OX, VA, VB, VC, OUT0, OUT1, OUT2, DCOM are the labels for these.
  • On the board, there are seven jumpers. Jumpers 1-5 form a line and can choose A or B. Jumper 6 is located near the LEDs in the upper right corner of the board and has the option of SHORT or LONG. Jumper 7 is near the top left of the board and has an ON/OFF switch.

Operator Interface Module

  • The primary interface with the control is through the Operator Interface Module. A photograph of the module can be found in Figure V-A-l. The module is mounted on the left front door and is functionally divided into two sides: one that interfaces with the Video Display, [CRT], and one that interfaces with the control. The operator pushbuttons are shown on the lower right.
  • A graphic mylar overlay covers a 7 X 4 matrix of membrane switches, assigning a function to each switch and "blacking out" unused switches. An HPIB card connects the switches and Communicator [C], as well as the Controllers [R], [S], and [T].
  • When a switch is pressed, an audible acknowledgement of the command is provided by a beeper, and a red LED begins to blink. After three (3) seconds, the operator must confirm the command by pressing the EXECUTE button in the lower left hand corner. If this button is not pressed quickly enough, the red LED will stop blinking and the control will wait for another command.
