TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - DS3800NRRA

DS3800NRRA is a regulator monitor card developed by General Electric under the Mark IV series. This series was created to help with the operation of gas and steam turbines. The Mark IV is a microcomputer-based system with triple-redundant backups on all protective settings and vital controllers, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. It also increases efficiency by allowing the user to automate some common tasks, such as startup and shutdown.

  • The card serves as a monitor board for the regulator. It comes with alignment marks, factory-drilled holes, and extractors in both right-hand corners. Extractors aid technicians in insertion and extraction in confined locations by providing a lever or handle that allows them to maneuver the board without risking damaging components or circuitry.
  • Along the right edge of the PCB are eight light-emitting diodes, seven red and one amber. mancol, preset, unsu1, sten, int, ru1, calc, and imok are the names of the variables. The LEDs are in the upper and lower right corners of the board, and there are ten TP test points between them.
  • The board has sixteen board-to-board pins in its upper right quadrant that allow it to connect to another board. It also has a PCB mating connector (218A4553-1 AMP 102041-1) on its left edge that allows it to communicate with other boards. On the board, there is also an Augat connector (female).
  • Four transistors are used on the PCB, including one Motorola 7711-2 213 HF/VHF power MOS transistor. High power gain, easy power regulation, strong thermal stability, low intermodulation distortion, and full load mismatch resistance are all properties of this device. Four board stiffeners are inserted on the card. There are three across the short and one across the bottom edge of the board. Board stiffeners reduce vibration, prevent bending, and reduce the risk of cracking and shock damage.
  • There are twenty-three integrated circuits on the board. This contains hex inverting gates and dual operating gates with short-circuit safety.
