TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - DS3800NVIA

DS3800NVIA is a Voltage Isolator Board under Mark IV series. Microcontrollers were used for the first time in the Mark IV. It was also the first to provide a triple modular redundancy design, with three independent controllers voting on outputs. With this configuration, anyone controller might be down for maintenance or an issue without affecting the rest of the system. The DS3800NVIA is a single-sided rectangular board with components installed on only one side. Through-hole components are used on the board.

  • Auxiliary boards can be installed using standoffs that have been pre-placed on the board. It is crucial to note, however, that these auxiliary are not included in this purchase. The board is also pre-drilled for mounting, and there are various codes on it to assist you figure out where to put it and how to wire it up.
  • Many components are affixed to the surface of the DS3800NVIA. Augat connections, integrated circuits, resistors, capacitors, test points, transistors, and diodes are all examples of this. A line of numbered pins on the board will aid the auxiliary board's interface with the main board. There are also five LED indicators on the board. There are four red ones and one yellow one.
  • There is only one backplane connector on the DS3800NVIA. In the lower right corner, there are three toggle switches. Ground reset, OV reset, and OV test are the three buttons.
