DS3820EVCC is a Power Supply Board and is part of the GE Speedtronic Mark IV gas turbine control system for industrial gas turbines and steam turbines. The MK IV was the first of the Speedtronic gas and steam control systems to have triple modular redundant controllers, which reduced downtime due to hardware failure dramatically. This is a big, intricate piece of machinery with a lot of different parts. The power supply board external metal housing is the first step. On its metal feet, the housing is designed to fit into a bay-type enclosure. A front bottom panel of the machine allows for the connecting and control of several connected connections.
Two DS3820C12 Current Isolator Modules are mounted to the front panel of the unit above this. Several other components, including a DS3800NFCG firing board, various rectifier components, fuse components, and other components, fill the interior of the DS3820EVCC. Surface wire or ribbon cables are used to connect individual components. Zip ties are commonly used to control cable bundling.
