TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IC697CGR935-GB

The IC697CGR935-GB is a One Slot Controller Module and is part of the GE Fanuc Series. This module is designed to handle fluctuating point computations required for CPU redundancy applications. The controller module acts as the controller of the Redundancy System. It is used in two control mechanisms: the GHS process and the GDB procedure.

Control Mechanisms

  • Each synchronized PLC uses numerous single bus networks with one redundant controller in the GHS process.
  • Multiple I/O networks are employed with single or double buses in each synchronized PLC when using the GDB procedure.
  • Each control technique is straightforward to activate and operate.

Memory and Control

  • The memory board of the Controller module supplies data and program memory, which is incorporated into the module.
  • Remote control or the three-position RUN/STOP switch can be used to control the module.

Installation and Status Indicators

  • The LEDs on the front of the module indicate the CPU's status. It is important to consult the Programmable Controller Installation and Hot Standby CPU Redundancy Manual before installation.
  • One of the module's battery connectors should be linked to the battery. Ensure there is no rack power and the key switch is set to MEMORY PROTECT OFF before powering on the module.
  • The module should be inserted in slot 1 of rack 0. When powered up, the top LED should blink. Once the diagnostic is complete, the top left LED will remain on, while the second and third LEDs will turn off. The fourth LED, MEMORY PROTECT, will be off if the key switch is in the off position.

Programming

  • The CPU is now ready for programming. The CPU can be programmed regardless of the key switch position.
  • The toggle switch can be placed in the appropriate operational mode once the program has been confirmed.
