TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IC755CSS12CDB

The GE QuickPanel operator interface IC755CSS12CDB is part of the Fanuc Intelligent Platform. The IC755CSS12CDB is a 12.36-inch industrial interface machine from the QuickPanel family. This panel runs on Windows Embedded Compact 7, which is a full 32-bit operating system with a graphical user interface (GUI). Its operating system is kept in flash memory and then copied to a DRAM block for use. After turning on or restarting the device, Windows Embedded Compact 7 launches automatically.

Features

  • The module is an all-in-one microcomputer with a wide range of applications. Its architecture is built on a powerful ARM core CPU with many connection options and a high-resolution touch screen, making it compatible with the majority of industrial equipment on the market today.
  • Other noteworthy features of this device include a variety of memory types that can handle even the most demanding applications:
    • The operating system, object store, and application memory share a 512 MB section of DRAM.
    • The operating system and persistent storage share a 256 MB section of non-volatile flash memory.
    • 512 KB of battery-backed SRAM stores data and protects it in the event of a power outage.
  • A backup program is required to save changes made to the Windows registry and flash memory. Because the IC755CSS12CDB is not battery-powered, backup software is essential. The backup software also has the ability to save modifications to the operating system's files in the user block of flash memory. It also performs a backup before the machine shuts down whenever the operating system or any installed application undergoes configuration changes.
