TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200AVGAG1A

The IS200AVGAG1A is a Gate Driver Amplifier Board developed by GE. It is a part of the Drive Control control system. This board plays a pivotal role in managing gate signals within the system. Its purpose is to ensure precise control over the power delivery to various components, enhancing the overall efficiency and performance of the system.

Board Replacement

  • Begin by turning off the power to ensure safety during the replacement process.
  • Next, disconnect all cables connected to the STBA board:
    • For ribbon cables, grip each side of the cable connector firmly and gently pull it out.
    • Cables with pull tabs should have their tabs carefully pulled.
    • Terminal board connectors require loosening the screws at the top of each terminal to free the wires.
    • Wiring to connectors CPxPL, YxxPL, and CIxPL can be removed by depressing the connector latch and gently pulling the connector.
  • Once cables are disconnected, remove the standoffs holding the board in place, along with the lock washers. Be cautious not to drop the lock washers into the board or unit, as this could cause damage.
  • Carefully remove the STBA board by holding it level with both hands and pulling it straight out.
  • If there are any jumpers in connector sockets, remove them and transfer them to the new board in the same location.
  • Install the new STBA board by placing it in position, replacing the standoffs, and securing them with lock washers.
  • Finally, reconnect all cables, ensuring that each connector is properly seated at both ends to establish secure connections.
