TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200BICRH1A

The IS200BICRH1A is a Bridge Interface Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Series, used in GE Drive Control Systems. This board is specifically intended for use in medium voltage Innovation Series Type H drives. It serves as an interface for analog feedback signals between the bridge and drive control. The board scales and converts these signals to VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) signals, which are then routed to the digital signal processor control board.

Features

  • Optically Isolated Digital Inputs and Outputs: The board is equipped with eight optically isolated digital inputs and outputs. These components are electrically isolated using optical elements, ensuring signal integrity and protection against electrical noise. This feature facilitates reliable and secure communication between the board and external devices or components.
  • Analog Feedback Inputs: The board includes three analog feedback inputs for precise measurement and monitoring. It provides one input with a range of 0-10V and two inputs with a range of 0-20 mA. These inputs enable accurate feedback for control and operation within the system.
  • Backplane Connectors: The board features two backplane connectors, P1 and P2, each serving distinct functions:
    • P1: Used for fault string connections, isolated I/O (input/output), and bridge control. This connector integrates and communicates with these components to ensure seamless control and monitoring of the system.
    • P2: Responsible for control board interface and logic power supply connections. It links the board with the control board for data exchange and power distribution.
  • Solid-State Relay Outputs: The board features eight solid-state relay outputs connected to the CTBC (Control Terminal Board Connector) via a CABP (Control Auxiliary Board Panel) board. These relay outputs offer robust switching capabilities and are indicated by yellow LEDs. They are optically separated from the control circuitry to protect against voltage spikes or interference.
  • Front Faceplate Design: The front faceplate includes two terminal boards labeled TB1 and TB2 for convenient wiring and connections. It also features eighteen LEDs to indicate various system statuses and conditions, two fuses for protection against excessive currents or faults, and eight user TP (Test Point) test points for monitoring and troubleshooting.
