TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200BPPH2B

The IS200BPPH2B is a Digital Expansion Module developed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI control system. This module is designed to enhance the capabilities of the Mark VI system, which supports both simplex and triple modular redundant (TMR) control configurations. It facilitates direct connections to turbine sensors and actuators, eliminating the need for additional instrumentation layers. This approach improves system reliability and reduces maintenance challenges.

Control Cabinet

  • The control cabinet can house either a single Mark VI control module for simplex operation or three TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) control modules for greater reliability.
  • Modules are interconnected via a high-speed I/O network known as IONet, and they connect to the Unit Data Highway (UDH) through their controller Ethernet port.
  • Power Requirements: Requires 120/240 V AC and/or 125 V DC power sources. These inputs are converted to 125 V DC within the cabinet to supply power to the control modules and other components.
  • Supports both local and remote I/O configurations, offering flexibility in system architecture and deployment.

I/O Cabinet

  • The I/O cabinet contains interface modules, which may be single or triple depending on the system setup. These modules connect the controllers to the terminal boards.
  • Interface modules communicate with the controllers via the IONet network and with the terminal boards through dedicated cables. Terminal boards are placed within the I/O cabinet near the interface modules for efficient connectivity.
  • Power Requirements: Like the control cabinet, the I/O cabinet requires 120/240 V AC and/or 125 V DC power sources to operate the interface modules and other components.
