TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200HSLAH1A

IS200HSLAH1A is an HS serial link interface module developed by GE. It is a part of EX2100e excitation system. The High-Speed LAN PCB connects the CPU and Expander of your larger system to the system's External I/O. With a HSSL Cable, this device becomes essential for integrating your EX2100 system with other GE series. There will be high-voltage interfaces that employ this concept. The HSLA board, a motherboard, was created to be used with the HSLA4HA model. The model belongs to the H5A group variant; the GEH-6781L does not distinguish between the various group variations. This particular model, which belongs to General Electric's EX2100e line of High-Speed Serial Link Interfaces, is utilized for Host Applications. The FGPA (field programmable gate array) board is one of the main components of the HSLA board. On the attached HSSL daughterboard, control logic functions are provided by the FGPA board. This board is equipped with a total of four ports, one Ethernet port for HSSL (High-Speed Serial Link) and three ports located on the rear of the unit for MVRC (Motor Voltage and Rotation Control). The Ethernet port is used to communicate with HSSL devices, while the three MVRC ports allow for connection to external devices.

IS200HSLAH1A Features

  • It is a Module for Series EX2100 Host Application Boards. This unit is directly attached to the MVRC board.
  • The High-Speed LAN PCB connects the CPU and Expander of your larger system to the system's External Input/Output. This device becomes essential for your EX2100 system integration to other General Electric series such as Mark VIe, Mark VI ICS, LS2100e, LS2100, and Human-Machine Interfaces with a High-Speed Serial Link (HSSL) Cable.
  • This unit is directly connected to an MVRCH1A unit to create a fully functional MVRCH1A. Both of these boards can be found on our website separately. Within Mk V Core C, this PWA Assembly assists the 259B2451EYG03 Control Module. The HSLA has mounting holes.
  • The C Core HSLA is a communication module that provides one Ethernet port for HSSL and three ports on the rear of the unit for MVRC. The module has an approximate dimension of 3 inches in length, 4.5 inches in width, and 0.2 inches in height. It weighs less than 1lb and requires a yellow HSSL cable for operation.

Product Attributes

  • Ports: 1 Ethernet for HSSL and 3 on rear of unit for MVRC
  • Approximate Dimensions: 3L x 4.5W x .2H (in)
  • Necessary Cable: Yellow HSSL
  • Daughterboard: HSSL, High-Speed Serial Link Interface
  • Key Feature: Field Programmable Gate Array (FGPA) Board
  • Mounting Location: To the ESYS and ERAX boards
  • Port Type: Single or Dual-Port

EX2100e Control Software

The EX2100e control software provides high performance while also assisting customers and field engineers in understanding, installing, commissioning, tuning, and maintaining the excitation control system. The exciter software is configured and loaded in the controllers using the ToolboxST application. On the ToolboxST Component Editor screen, the software is represented by control blocks that are linked together to display the signal flow.

The software transducer system's output includes the following:

  • Generator Voltage
  • Active current of the generator (average in phase with watts)
  • Reactive current from a generator (average in phase with reactive power, VARs)
  • The frequency of the generator (current)
  • Slip (signal representing the change in the rotor speed)

The output of the transducer system is used to calculate the following:

  • VARs and generator power
  • Generator flux magnitude (V/Hz)
  • Power factor and phase angle

Digital Controller

  • The EX2100e Excitation control products provide a Regulator control system in an 800 mm (32 in) enclosure with appropriate supporting hardware. There are other packaging options available. To better serve retrofit applications, the Regulator system can be purchased as part of a finished cabinet, or individual components can be shipped separately for onsite mounting.
  • An input section, a dc link, and the converter output section comprise power conversion. A 3-phase diode bridge with input filters serves as the input section. The system accepts a primary alternating current input range of 90 to 280 V rms for the 35 A system and up to 480 V rms for the 120 A system. The maximum frequency of the alternating current input is 480 Hz, which can be supplied as 1-phase or 3-phase from a permanent magnet generator (PMG), auxiliary bus, or generator terminals.
