IS200JGNDG1A is a Shield Ground Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Series used in gas turbine control systems. The JGND board mounts next to the terminal board and offers easy ground connections for the customer's shield drain wires.
INSTALLATION:
JGND is mounted on a bracket made of sheet metal that is fastened to the plate holding the terminal board. With the two screws at each end of the terminal board, JGND is grounded to the bracket. Shield wires belonging to the customer are connected to terminals in the Euro-type terminal block. For a total of 48 ground connections, one or two JGND connectors can be placed on the side of the terminal board mounting bracket. At the positions of the board mounting screws, JGND offers a route to the sheet metal ground. A nylon washer is included in the standard mechanical assembly of this board to its mount between the board and the sheet metal.
As a result, JGND is separated from the sheet metal, enabling the board ground current to be wired into any desired grounding position. It is possible to channel ground currents into nearby sheet metal by removing the washer, which eliminates the need for extra grounding leads. When installing a JGND board, a decision must be made regarding whether to transmit ground currents directly to sheet metal or through a wire to a designated ground.
OPERATION:
The two grounding screws at the ends of JGND link all 24 connectors on the Euro block to the ground. These establish contact with the ground-connected metal mounting bracket. The board can be isolated using nylon washers, and ground currents can then be connected to any desired system position.
DIAGNOSTICS:
No diagnostics signals are obtained from the JGND Board
CONFIGURATION:
There are no jumpers or switches on JGND
