TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200TRLYS1D

IS200TRLYS1D is a Relay Output Board developed by GE. It is a part of Mark VIeS control system. The terminal board is engineered with specific features to accommodate the needs of industrial applications requiring solenoid control and integrity sensing. The board is equipped with six plug-in magnetic relays, each featuring Form-C contact outputs. These relays are fused and powered to efficiently drive external solenoids, ensuring reliable operation in various industrial settings. Supported power sources include standard 24 V DC or 125 V DC, providing flexibility in power supply options to suit specific application requirements.

FEATURES

  • Solenoid Integrity Sensing: Special feedback mechanisms are integrated into each relay circuit to detect potential issues with external solenoids. This sensing capability, performed between the normally open (NO) output terminal and the solenoid (SOL) output terminal, allows for proactive maintenance and troubleshooting by identifying faulty solenoids.
  • Six-Relay Configuration: The board features six relays, providing expanded relay capacity beyond the standard configuration. This increased relay count offers greater flexibility and versatility in system design and operation.
  • Compatibility with 24/125 V DC Applications: Designed specifically for 24/125 V DC applications, the board ensures compatibility with specific voltage requirements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in targeted applications.
  • Dual Normally Open (NO) Contacts: Relay circuits include a normally open (NO) contact on both the source side and the return side. This configuration enhances flexibility and functionality in controlling external devices and circuits.
  • Non-Configurable for Dry Contact Use: The relays are not configurable for dry contact use, ensuring compatibility with the intended application. This design choice streamlines installation and eliminates potential compatibility issues.
  • emoval of Input Relay Coil Monitoring: Input relay coil monitoring is removed from the board, streamlining its functionality for solenoid control and integrity sensing. This optimization enhances operational efficiency and simplifies maintenance procedures.
  • Field Solenoid Integrity Monitoring: The terminal board provides monitoring of field solenoid integrity, enhancing system reliability and safety. This feature ensures that solenoids are functioning correctly, reducing the risk of malfunctions and downtime.
  • Exclusion of Special-Use Relay for Ignition Transformer: The board does not include a special-use relay for driving an ignition transformer. Instead, it focuses on solenoid control and integrity monitoring, ensuring optimized performance for its intended application.
  • INSTALLATION

    Relay Output Connection

  • Connect the wires for the six relay outputs directly to the TB1 terminal block on the terminal board.
  • The TB1 block is securely held down with two screws and features 24 terminals designed to accept wires up to #12 AWG, providing ample space for wiring connections.
  • Ensure proper alignment and secure attachment of the wires to the terminal block to prevent loose connections or electrical hazards.
  • Grounding

  • Adjacent to the TB1 terminal block, locate the shield terminal strip attached to chassis ground.
  • Properly ground the terminal board by connecting it to the shield terminal strip, enhancing safety and minimizing the risk of electrical interference.
  • Solenoid Power Connection

  • Connect the solenoid power for outputs 1-6 to JF1, ensuring proper polarity and secure connections.
  • JF2 can be utilized to daisy-chain power to other TRLYS1D boards, providing a convenient and streamlined power distribution solution.
  • Avoid using TB3 for solenoid power connection to prevent potential issues or conflicts.
  • Final Checks

  • Double-check all connections to ensure they are secure and properly aligned.
  • Verify that the wiring configuration complies with the specifications and requirements of the application.
  • Perform thorough testing to confirm proper functionality of the relay outputs and solenoid power supply.
