TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200VTCCH1B

IS200VTCCH1B is a Thermocouple Processor Board manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Series used in GE Speedtronic Control Systems. The 24 thermocouple inputs on the thermocouple processor board VTCC can be type E, J, K, S (see note), or T. Two terminal blocks on the terminal board TBTC are wired to receive these inputs. The VME rack, which houses the VTCC thermocouple processing board, is connected to the terminal board by cables with molded plugs. The TBTC is capable of providing control in either simplex (TBTCH1C) or triple module redundant (TMR) formats (TBTCHIB).

INSTALLATION:

  • Turn off the VME processor rack's power.
  • After positioning the VTCC board's edge connectors, slide it in and use your hands to push the top and bottom levers in.
  • Tighten the front panel's top and bottom captive screws.

OPERATION:

The TBTC has 24 inputs for thermocouples that can be either grounded or ungrounded. They can be placed as far away from the turbine control cabinet as 300 m (984 ft), with a two-way cable resistance of no more than 450. On the terminal board are two cold junction reference devices and high-frequency noise suppression. Linearization for certain thermocouple types is carried out by VTCC using the software. To avoid negative effects on other input channels, a thermocouple that is found to be outside of the hardware restrictions is deleted from the scanned inputs
