TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR GE - IS200VTURH1A

IS200VTURH1A is a VME Turbine card developed by General Electric under the Mark VI series. GE's successful Speedtronic range includes numerous gas-and-steam turbine management systems, including the Mark VI. The TMR architecture was used for the third of these systems. The system's dependability and precision are considerably improved by using three independent and separate IONets, Control TMR Modules, and power supplies. General Electric invented this type of control system in 1983.

  • This VME protects primary turbines and the functions include:
    • To create the primary Overspeed trip, four passive pulse rate devices are used to measure the turbine speed.
    • Induced shaft current and voltage are being monitored.
    • Automatically synchronizing the generator and shutting down the main breaker.
    • Three principal Overspeed trip relays are controlled.
    • The TRPx terminal board contains these.

  • Over sixty integrated circuits are present on the board surface. IDT 7024 S35J Dual-Port Static RAM and IDT 71016 S15Y CMOS Static RAM are among the Xilinx Spartan XCS40 field-programmable gate arrays. There are several diodes, resistors, and capacitors on the board, as well as inductor coils/beads (L1 through L16) and more than a dozen transistors.
  • Two backplane connectors and a female plug for connecting a daughterboard are included on the board. Three screws are used to connect a faceplate to the leading edge. A single cable connector (J5) and three LED components make up this faceplate. 94V-0 and 6BA01 are the codes on the board.
