IS220PTCCH2B is an Input/Output pack for the General Electric Speedtronic Mark VIe gas turbine. Steam, gas, and wind turbines, power generating balance of plant (BoP), deep-sea drilling, desalination, gas compression, and other facility-wide asset management systems all use GE Mark VIe control systems. Three hardware components make up the control system: controllers, I/O network (IONet) switches, and I/O modules. The control system offers more redundancy options, improved maintainability, and the ability to place I/O modules closer to the controlled equipment. It offers high-quality, time-coherent data at the controller and plant levels, allowing control system equipment to be managed more effectively.
The Mark control product line is programmed, configured, trended, and troubleshooted using ControlST, which includes the ToolboxST and WorkstationST programs. Two regularly used ToolboxST configuration windows are shown here.
The Mark VIe controller is a single-board, stand-alone processor with expandable computing capabilities. There are no batteries or jumper settings required because it has built-in power supplies.
To simplify operations and maintenance, controllers run the ControlST* Software Suite, which provides a common software environment for turbine and generator excitation controls in the power island and balance of plant equipment.
