Overview: The IS200TTPWH1A is a Power Conditioning Terminal Board developed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI series. It is specifically used in GE speedtronic Gas Turbine Control Systems to ensure reliable power conditioning and distribution. This terminal board facilitates discrete wiring to auxiliary devices, offering branch circuit protection and distribution between one or more Mark VI rack-mounted +28 V dc power sources.
Key Features
Power Conditioning: The TTPWH1A terminal board provides power conditioning between the +28 V dc power sources, ensuring stable and reliable power distribution to various components.
Discrete Wiring to Auxiliary Devices: The board allows for discrete wiring to auxiliary devices, making it easier to connect external equipment and ensuring proper power management.
Branch Circuit Protection: It offers branch circuit protection, helping safeguard connected devices against power surges or faults.
+28 V dc Inputs: The board supports three 2-pin inputs for +28 V dc from the Mark VI power supply, allowing flexible connections for multiple power sources.
Diode OR Selection: The TTPWH1A offers diode OR selection between the three +28 V dc inputs, enabling redundancy and improved reliability in the power supply system.
Output Ratings: The outputs of the board are rated from 0 to 0.25 A, with a voltage range of 22 to 30 V dc, and can operate in parallel for greater flexibility in power distribution.
Low Voltage Drop: When supplying the rated current, the voltage drop across the board is less than 4 V dc, ensuring efficient power delivery with minimal loss.
Frequency Isolation: The board provides good frequency isolation between the inputs and the outputs, preventing interference that could impact the system's operation.
Functionality
The IS200TTPWH1A terminal board is designed to interface with the Mark VI power supply, distributing +28 V dc power to auxiliary devices. It utilizes a diode OR selection mechanism between the three +28 V dc inputs, ensuring reliable power sourcing from one or more power supplies. This configuration allows the board to power multiple devices in parallel while maintaining efficient voltage regulation and minimal voltage drop, even under the rated current conditions.
Applications
The IS200TTPWH1A Power Conditioning Terminal Board is primarily used in GE speedtronic Gas Turbine Control Systems. It is essential for providing stable and reliable power distribution to auxiliary devices, ensuring that the connected systems operate efficiently without power interruptions or instability. The board's branch circuit protection and frequency isolation features enhance the overall safety and performance of the turbine control system, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Installation
Plugs P1, P2, and P3 are connected to three 28 V dc supplies that are routed from I/O racks R, S, and T. An analog input board receives the power monitoring signals that are attached to the top terminal block (TB1). The lower terminal block is where the secondary voltage outputs are connected (TB2).
The Mark VI rack-mounted +28 V dc power supply distribution and branch circuit protection provided by the TTPWH1A power conditioning board are discrete connections to peripheral devices. The Mark VI power supply's three 2-pin inputs for the H1A are for +28 V dc. To power the +28 V dc outputs, it offers a diode or option amongst the three inputs. The outputs have individual ratings of 0 to 0.25 A, and 22 to 30 V dc and they can operate in parallel. When supplying the rated current, the voltage drop is less than +4 V dc and there is good frequency isolation between the inputs and the outputs.
