IS200TTURS1C is a Primary Turbine Protection Input Board developed by GE. It is a part of General Electric's Mark VIeS series. The board is designed to work with the Mark VIeS Safety Control I/O pack. TRPGSxx and TRPASxx connections are supported by the component. It has three relays, K25, K25P, and K25A, all of which must close in order to provide 125 V dc power to the main breaker 52G. For simplex systems, the signals to the YTUR are routed through the PR3 and JR4 connectors. Signals from TMR systems fan out to the PR3, PS3, PT3, JR4, JS4, and JT4 connectors.
Features
1. The TTURS1C and YTUR I/O pack are both IEC 61508 certified. The following are the inputs and outputs:
a. 12 pulse rate devices measuring turbine speed by sensing a toothed wheel
b. Signals for generator voltage and bus voltage obtained from external potential transformers
c. A 125-volt direct current output to the main breaker coil for automatic generator synchronization.
d. Sensor inputs for measuring induced shaft voltage and current
e. The trip board receives three overspeed trip signals.
f. More I/O signals from the trip board
2. Do not inadvertently connect the 240 V ac and dc voltages in 240 V ac applications. The peak voltage will exceed the Transorb rating, causing the device to fail. Most ac supplies use a grounded neutral, and if an inadvertent connection is made between the 125 V dc and the ac voltage, the sum of the ac peak voltage and the 125 V dc is applied to Transorbs connected between the dc and ground.
3. In 120 V ac applications, however, the Transorb rating can withstand the peak voltage without failing. Do not inadvertently connect the 240 V ac and dc voltages in 240 V ac applications. The peak voltage will exceed the Transorb rating, causing the device to fail.

Installation
1. The terminal blocks TB1 and TB2 are wired with pulse rate pick ups, shaft pick ups, potential transformers, and the breaker relay.
2. Each block is held together with two screws and has 24 terminals that accept wires up to 12 AWG. To the left of each terminal block is a shield terminal strip connected to chassis ground. Jumpers JP1 and JP2 determine whether relay drivers K25 and K25P are simplex or TMR. By removing wire jumper WJ1, the K25A control line is isolated from the J8 connector on the TTURS1C terminal board.
3. The TB3 connector is for optional TTL connections to active speed pickups, which require an external power supply. PR3 and JR4 connectors are used in simplex systems. All six connectors are used by TMR systems.
Operation
1. In simplex applications, up to four pulse rate signals can be used to measure turbine speed. Generator and bus voltages are brought for automatic synchronizing in conjunction with VTUR, the turbine controller, and the excitation system.
2. Has a permissive generator synchronizing relays and controls the main breaker relay coil, 52G.
3. In TMR applications all inputs fan to the three control racks. Control signals coming into TTUR from R, S, and T are voted before they actuate permissive relays K25 and K25P. Relay K25A is controlled by the VPRO and TREG boards.
