Overview: The IS200VCMIH2B is a VME bus master controller board developed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI control system. It is used in the control and interface module to communicate internally with I/O boards in its rack and with other VCMI cards via the IONet network. There are two versions available:
Simplex system version: One Ethernet IONet port.
TMR system version: Three Ethernet ports.
In simplex systems, a single cable connects one control module to one or more interface modules, whereas in TMR systems, the VCMI communicates with three I/O channels (Rx, Sx, Tx) and the other control modules via three separate IONet ports.
Features
The VCMI board uses Software Implemented Fault Tolerance (SIFT) voting for redundancy and fault tolerance.
Each of the R, S, and T VCMI boards votes on input data from each of the IONet connections and sends the results to the control signal databases of the controllers via the VME backplane.
IONet can support multiple I/O racks, each with its own VCMI board. The second IONet port on the VCMI can be used to increase data throughput for applications requiring low latency.

Dual-port memory: 32 Kbytes (32-bit transfer configuration).
SRAM: 64k x 32.
Flash memory: 128k x 8.
Communication
Ethernet ports: Three IONet 10 Base2 Ethernet ports with BNC connectors, 10 Mbits/sec.
VME bus: Supports block transfers.
RS-232C Serial port: 1 port, male ""D"" style connector, supports 9600, 19,200, or 38,400 bits/sec.
Parallel port: 1 eight-bit bi-directional port, EPP Version 1.7 mode of IEEE 1284-1994.
Frame Rate
Simplex systems: 10 ms (100 Hz).
TMR systems: 40 ms (25 Hz).
