The IS400JPDGH1A centralizes signal grounding and distribution for J-type thermocouple assemblies. It provides isolated reference junctions and a common ground plane, minimizing noise in temperature measurements. Integrated surge protectors shield against lightning or switching transients.
Installation
Mount to the rear of the analog I/O rack, directly behind the TC/RTD cards. Ground-strap each probe group to the hub’s chassis connector. Install GE-supplied jumpers between hub and cabinet earth point as shown in the wiring diagram.
Operation
Whenever the analog cards sample J-type TCs, they reference their cold-junction compensation to this hub. The ground-monitor circuit continuously checks continuity; any break or high-impedance fault logs an immediate alarm for preventive maintenance.
