Combines cold-junction compensation with controlled heater circuits to maintain optimal probe temperatures in cold environments. Precise heater current drive prevents condensation or icing on field probes, ensuring measurement integrity even in sub-zero conditions.
Installation
Mount adjacent to the field-probe terminal block. Wire heater leads and thermocouple pairs as per the GE installation guide. Set jumper resistances to configure maximum heater power and temperature setpoint.
Operation
When ambient temperature falls below the configured threshold, the module engages heater outputs proportionally, maintaining probe junctions at a stable temperature (typically +35 °C). On-board thermistors monitor heater performance and flag any open-load or over-current conditions.
